Certificate for Academic Excellence

 

In the event there is a tie for the highest GPA in the respective class, the following mechanism will be used to break the tie:

The secretary-treasurer will ask each candidate to complete the chapter’s “Student Profile”. If a student does not return the “Student Profile” by the specified date, he/she will be automatically eliminated for consideration for the award. The following categories will be considered:

1. Participation in research while matriculated at RSDM’
2. Publications in peer reviewed journals while matricualted at RSDM,
3. Student government participation while matriculated at RSDM,
4. Service to community while matriculated at RSDM,
5. Honors and awards while matriculated at RSDM, and
6. Sevice to school while matriculated at RSDM (other than student government).

Each category will receive a credit of one(1). The candidate with the highest credit total will be presented with the award.

If any candidates still remain in a tie, then the award will be split among the remaining candidates.
